She Wants an Upgrade
Throughout all of this, it’s important to remember that she doesn’t want the “old” you back. After all, she broke up with the old you, right? Clearly, something about the old you was not doing it for her anymore, whether it was because you were butting heads and arguing too much, or she grew to hate certain habits of yours, or you’d let yourself go physically. It could have been any number of things, and now it’s up to you to look at your relationship, remember the comments she made and the complaints she voiced, and work on those specific areas.
This is one of the rare times when it’s very fortunate that women are so vocal. We would be very surprised if hasn’t already told you, at length, all of the things about you that bother her. If you honestly can’t think of anything that she would like you to improve upon, you’re just not thinking hard enough.
Think about not only why she broke up with you, but also think about the other things that, while they may not have been part of the breakup, she never really liked. If you can present yourself as an idealized version of you—as what you might call her “dream version” of yourself—you will have an excellent chance of winning her back.
Nobody is comfortable with settling in life, though we often do wind up settling. When couples settle down with each other, it’s all too common for both people to stop attempting to improve themselves. When you’re single, as your girlfriend is now, or when you’ve moved on and started dating someone else, you don’t have settle. What you need to do is step your game up and give her an upgraded version of the guy she fell in love with in the past.
A lot of times, the missing ingredient when people do not want to improve themselves is motivation. You now have all the motivation that you need. You want to win back your ex? You will need to be at the top of your game. That means no slacking off. Be the kind of guy she’d be crazy not to be with.
